Caz area plays host to many holiday events

'Tis the season

— Though the annual Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting ceremony is over, there are a few holiday activities still coming up around Cazenovia. From holiday shows, shopping opportunities and events for children, there will be something for everyone before the month comes to an end.

The holiday season usually has no shortage of productions and shows for everyone to enjoy.

This year, the Catherine Cummings Theatre, at 16 Lincklaen St., is hosting the Haus of Mimosa’s “Holiday Spectacular on Ice” on Friday, Dec. 14. Seating for the show starts at 7 p.m., with the performance beginning at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door or at Cazenovia Jewelry or LilliBean on Albany Street. Adult tickets are $12, kids 12 and under are $5, and students are $3.

There will also be a few opportunities for holiday shopping this year. “Men’s Night Out” is happening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13, in the village of Cazenovia.

This is a special night designed to enhance the shopping experience for men who may not enjoy shopping or are often too busy to shop. Men can feel free to explore the participating shops along Albany and Lincklaen streets, enjoy the community atmosphere and get all their holiday shopping done in one night.

The Palace Holiday Show, “Holy Cow, It’s Here,” will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Palace Theater in Hamilton on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15.

Tickets are $8 for kids, $14 for adults and children under the age of 4 are free — if they will sit on someone’s lap. There is also a family pack of four tickets available for $35. Designed in the style of a variety show, this performance is sure to delight the whole family.

The Earlville Opera House will be performing their production of “Irish Christmas in America” at the Catherine Cummings Theatre in Caz.
