Ben and Nicole Schlater accept the Burrill E. Wells, Jr. Historic Preservation Award for the restoration of their historic home at 61 Oswego St., which was the former Payne Bigelow House built in 1847.

Preservation of history recognized
On Thursday, Nov. 15, the annual Burrill E. Wells, Jr. Historic Preservation Award was given out at the annual meeting of the Museum at the Shacksboro Schoolhouse. Ed McManus presented the award, which was given to more than one person this year.
